When a local client recommended us to Northwestern for their Decathlon project, we were more than happy to give them a hand. The project required a custom built-in to accommodate a specific type of client (project requirements). We quickly jumped into action and started the process of building and creating an ADA-Accessible desk that would fit their design and space requirements.
The project was very interesting because the entire house was being built on the Northwestern Evanston Campus, then split in 3 parts (yes, the whole house was going to split in 3!) and shipped via freight to Denver Colorado for the competition. There were some minor design challenges regarding that move, but the architects took this into account and made our task rather simple. The attached pictures and the Northwestern Teams website chronicle the project and show how they won in design and fared pretty well overall in the competition. We were able to donate a portion of our fees to help out with this endeavor, and receive recognition alongside some other pretty neat builders & suppliers! http://www.northwestern.house/partners/ We love being involved with cool projects like this!
